The Ovi Mission is a project started by our founder David Lee. It's something deeply personal, focused on doing real, meaningful charity work. Our main goal is to build animal shelters and veterinary clinics in small, underserved communities where proper vet care, pet supplies, and even the most basic services are hard to find or just don’t exist at all.
So what sets this mission apart from other charities? We don’t ask for donations. We’re doing this completely on our own. Every dollar comes from our business profits. We’re not a traditional nonprofit. That’s a choice we made on purpose. Because to be honest, we’ve seen way too many so-called nonprofits where a big chunk of the money gets eaten up by overhead, salaries, or ends up in the pockets of people who are only pretending to care. That’s not us.
We care because we’ve lived through it. This mission exists because of something that happened when David was a kid. He lost his cat, a cat he loved with his whole heart, because of a careless, heartless, and downright incompetent vet. This vet was a complete piece of trash. Not just bad at his job, but cruel too. What should’ve been a simple neutering surgery turned into a slow-motion nightmare.
David’s cat was healthy, happy, and full of life. When it was time to get him neutered, they went to a vet who had been recommended by a family friend. That vet botched the procedure. For weeks, the cat was in constant pain. He could barely move. He lost the ability to walk on his back legs, dragging himself around with his front paws just to try to eat or drink. He couldn’t reach the litter box, so he would pee and poop wherever he collapsed. His stomach swelled up. He had a fever. Pus was leaking from his body. And he just laid there, suffering.
They went back to the vet for answers, but the vet had the nerve to blame the cat. He said the cat was too weak to recover and claimed the surgery had gone perfectly fine. That was a lie.
After more digging, more appointments, and a biopsy done by a real vet who actually cared, they finally got the truth. The cat’s incision had been stitched wrong. That one mistake led to inflammation, internal bleeding, and nerve damage. His little body couldn’t take it. And the vet who caused it all vanished without taking any responsibility. No apology. No explanation. Nothing.
That experience destroyed David. It also became the reason he made this promise. No animal should suffer like that, especially not because of someone who’s supposed to help them. That pain turned into a mission. We are doing this because we believe every community deserves honest, skilled, compassionate vet care. Not just in big cities. Everywhere.
We want to create shelters and clinics that give pets a second chance. But we also want to support the people who love them. Pet owners deserve to have access to help when life gets hard. We want to be there when no one else is.
We know we won’t be able to save every animal. But we’ll keep doing everything we can to make a real difference. Whether it's a puppy, a stray cat, a bird that’s been abandoned, or even a little snake that just needs a safe home, we’re here for all of them.
And if you're wondering how you can support us, it’s simple. Just shop through our official site at Ovicent.com. That’s how we fund this mission. You’ll never see us begging for donations because we believe in doing it ourselves. We don’t need nonprofit status to make a difference. And no, that doesn’t mean every nonprofit is a scam. But too many are, and we refuse to be part of that system.
Thank you for reading and for believing in something real.
TL;DR: The Ovi Mission aims to build animal shelters and hospitals & you can support it by purchasing merch.
